Ukraine

In 2015, Dmytro Malyshev was one of the first photographers certified and invited by Google to digitize Ukraine in the VR360 format and integrate the created virtual tours into Google Streetview, Google Maps and Google Earth.

Virtual Ukraine (virtualukraine.travel) is a project implemented in cooperation with the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD) and local administrations as an interactive map of Ukraine’s regions and communities.

Using high-resolution panoramic photography and virtual reality, cultural, historical, natural, industrial and infrastructure locations presented.

By February 24, 2022, as part of the project, Dmytro Malyshev and the IDRON studio team (idron.com.ua) had created more than 7300 high-quality panoramic photos and digitized more than 1000 objects.

With Virtual Ukraine, you can view unique objects that an average viewer will not be able to visit in everyday life.

For example, the Verkhovna Rada, where the Ukrainian parliament works, the meeting room of the Government of Ukraine,

he world’s largest airplane AN-225 Mriya (2016 – “live airplane” and 2022 – “blown up airplane”).

As well as the highest panorama in Ukraine on Hoverla Mount or the deepest panorama on the lower floor of the preserved command post of the USSR nuclear missile launch control center.

Using the menu, you can select the region you are interested in and activate the location view.

Use the menu items, arrows and icons to navigate through the virtual tour.

An aerial tour of a settlement allows you to see the area from the air, analyze logistics routes, areas for construction and infrastructure development.

Virtual tours of museums, galleries, castle dungeons, temples or natural attractions encourage you to come and see everything in person.

Take a look at Ukraine in VR, pack your bags, and embark on a real-life journey along the route of your choice.
